Real Name: Elizabeth Twoyoungman

History: Elizabeth is the daughter of Alpha Flight's Shaman Micheal Twoyoungmen a world renowned doctor. When her mother fell ill with terminal cancer Micheal promised his daughter that he would cure her when she died Elizabeth blamed her father who then left her in the care of his friends the Hudson's later to become Guardian and Vindicator of Alpha Flight.

Elizabeth studied archaeology and whilst on a dig discovered a skull from which a spirit appeared howling the word revenge. Elizabeth swallowed her pride and went to her father for help. Shaman discovered that the demon released from the skull was one of the great beasts Ranq and with the help of Alpha Flight it was defeated. During the battle Elizabeth had put on a mystic head band given to her by her father she found that she could not remove it and was forced into the role of Talisman a guardian of Earth chosen by the spirits.

She spent some time with Alpha Flight and travelled to a mystic dimension with her father to release Snowbird from the great beast Ranq. Micheal had to chose between saving Snowbird and his daughter, he saved Snowbird leaving Elizabeth trapped in the otherworld. She was finally released by the omnipotent Beyonder blaming her father for failing her and her mother.

She sought revenge against him, by leading him to the wrong mystic place for the birth of Snowbird's child. She tried to bind the child's spirit but he tore the mystic circlet from her head and she lost all her powers. Her father then wore the band and took on the role of Talisman and Elizabeth returned to her archaeological studies. Sometime later she was contacted by the spirit of snowbird warning of the demon Dreamqueen and Elizabeth rejoined Alpha flight to fight this new peril. After the battle Shaman decided that she was once more worthy to wear the circlet and she again became Talisman.

Power: tap into any source of mystical energy she encounters, allowing her to disrupt its active functions, absorb the energy for her own uses, and discharge the raw magical power back at the source, circlet of enchantment enables her to cultivate her powers, perform more varied and advanced spells with the energy she taps, and summon and command the spirits of the natural world, in order to gain information and power from them.
